New Aussie Film Packs A Lot Of Adventure

A unique action adventure movie has just been released in Australia. The book, Tomorrow When The War Began by prominent Australian author John Marsden, has been become a blockbuster movie The book has a considerable following of young adult readers and has sold over 2 million copies in Australia and Completely new Zealand, though many adults have appreciated reading this book as well.

The scriptwriter Stuart Beattie who wrote the screenplays for "Pirates of the Caribbean; The Curse of the Black Pearl" and "Australia" motion pictures has turned the book into a action packed movie for the big screen. Beattie is furthermore trying his hand at directing, with Tomorrow When The War Began movie, being his first attempt as a movie director.

The vast majority of young stars of the film are recognized Australian actors; known mainly by Australian viewers for their roles in a variety of TV shows or soaps like Home and Away and Neighbours or from Australian pictures.

The Tomorrow story starts out in the rural fictional town of Wirrawee, where a group of seven young adults decide to go away camping in an isolated bushland area called "Hell", just before school starts back. While they're away, they are missing the town's annual Commemorative Day festivities at the local showground, so when they witness planes flying overhead at their camp ground, they think nothing of it. The teens think its part of the Commemorative Day celebrations

When they arrive back home from their camping trip, they are distraught to find their homes have been abandoned by their loved ones and their animals have been left to die from starvation. Then they discover they can't get any phone coverage for their phones and that there's no electricity.

Not knowing what to make of the conditions they find themselves in, they wait until nightfall to go into town to try and determine what has happened to their families and township. Risking their own safety, they soon enough uncover what has happened; the town has been invaded by an unidentified enemy force who are holding their entire town, along with their family members captive at the local showground

The story then continues on to show the young adults doing what they can to wreck chaos on the enemy forces using guerrilla tactics to try to free their family and the towns people. There's lots of action and adventure in this motion picture; and a bit of romance, as we watch the group struggle against enormous odds to try and thwart the enemy forces and survive the surreal predicament they find themselves in.
